The annexe board is fed from the main board by a sub-main, which needs protecting at the house end and sizing for the annexe's cooking, heating and hot water. We check the cable size and route before recommending anything, so the annexe does not overload the house supply.
Not necessarily, but it is worth testing. Older garage supplies were often installed with little thought for RCD protection, and the tools, freezers and chargers out there see damp and knocks.
