Call 0333 360 8691Yes. We isolate the solar inverter on both its AC and DC sides before work starts, then reconnect the generation circuit to a correctly protected way in the new board. Once the board is in, we test the solar circuit along with everything else and check the system is generating again before we leave, weather permitting.
A spare way, ideally on an RCBO suitable for a battery inverter, and enough space for any isolator the battery installer needs. Tell us your plans when you send photos and we will lay the board out accordingly. Planning the space now costs far less than changing the board again later.
We handle the formal part. We send the Part P notification to Building Control for you, and the Electrical Installation Certificate is with you by email no more than 48 hours later. If your home has solar, keep the certificate with your solar paperwork, as it shows the generation circuit was tested on the new board.
