If the enclosure is sound and the porch is weathertight, it can stay. If condensation or damp is getting in, moving it indoors when the board is replaced is the sensible choice.
Usually there is some making good where cables are rerouted. We plan routes through existing voids, cupboards and ceiling spaces where we can, and we tell you before work starts what marks to expect, so there are no surprises when the old board comes off the wall.
